Pronunciation in English
Congratulations to all who voted for the right pronunciation of the word QUAY /ki/, which, by the way, means CAIS in Portuguese.
As my phonology mentor used to say "the problem of English is that we say LONDON, but we write CONSTANTINOPLA," meaning phonology and morphology in English don't walk together as they do in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and German, for instance.
