Giza - Egypt

Probably the best time to pay Egypt a visit is in February when it's not so hot neither so cold. I was there in Feb. 1996. One should expect temperatures ranging from 15C early in the morning to 30C at lunchtime and down to 10C late at night. So a T-shirt underneath a jacket is probably the best dressing combination. The pyramids are just as marvellous as we see them in pictures and always dream of. However, they are just the tip of the iceberg, as this country has so much to offer. I suggest a trip down the Nile towards the cities of Luxor and Aswan, not only by their natural beauties but also for the monuments built there. Try a short trip in a felucca and enjoy some falafels for snacks.
